Dear 23 year old me,

Hey it’s me! (or you, however you look at it) You plus a few years, a few wrinkles, a few pounds, and a few life phases.

You probably don’t want to think about a time when you aren’t young, have a slower metabolism, and can’t be mistaken for a teenager anymore…but believe it or not, you have a LOT to look forward to.

So here’s a few things to keep in mind over the next 50+ years…

You are so young. SO young. You haven’t even reached your halfway point yet. So chill out and quit obsessing over every so called wrinkle or imperfection

Realize how good you’ve got it right now. There is something wonderful about every phase of life, but you will look back at this time and realize you had the world on a string.

Your body wont last so appreciate the one you have and quit focusing on the negative. You have two legs that work, eyes that see (with a little help) and a heart that works perfectly. Again, you will look back and say “why the heck was I complaining”

Quit worrying. There will never be a time when you become God, so might as well stop trying to do his job. You’ll be a lot happier if you go ahead and let go now instead of trying to figure out what He is thinking.

Hate to break it to you, but your pilgrimage to perfection will never happen, so quit being so hard on yourself.

Once you become me…the way you looked wont matter, but the way your heart looked did…so just keep that in mind

And last but not least, your family loves you. Don’t take them for granted.

Love,

Courtney

PS- You’re husband is a HOTTIE!! And yes. You met Celine Dion.

I agree! Age is irrelevant. Do what you can with what you have where you are. And enjoy the journey!
